HEM, JAG SAKNAR DIG SOM FAN! Almost one year of longing and homesickness. But I'll be back. I'll be back soon. At least, on Monday I'll be a little bit closer :) TWO DAYS LEFT TO FINLAND! Wiiiiii! :D
Ahhhh. It just feels so good. These days have been of those ones you live with
that particular, special sensation of tranquillity mixed with tenderness and sweet joy, and
that make you feel kinda nostalgic even though they are not over yet… know what
I mean? :3
This week my man got a short period of holiday from work, so we could spend so much time together.
On Tuesday afternoon we went at the port, enjoying the sea breeze in
our hair and the lights of sun and little clouds playing together in the sky
and taking some pics :)
Since he has studied photography when he was at the high school, my boyfriend gave
me some useful teachings and advice to use a reflex camera and obtain better results...yeppp :)
After this nice walk along the wharf and the portual area, we took
another one in the city streets. The atmosphere of late afternoon and of the city in holiday mood made us feel like on a trip even at home...so relaxing! :)
At dinner time, we went for a piadina with ham,
arugula and a fresh soft italian cheese called "Squacquerone" in a nice place near my
bf’s house. We had to wait a bit but…it was soooo worthy!!! Yummie ;)
On Wednesday I woke up at the sound of my morning workout, then I went
out for a little shopping since I needed a pair of jeans and found a wonderful
one at a very low price, being assisted by a very nice girl! Perfect! :)
In the afternoon, we stopped at grandma’s place to pay visit and after that, a long ride by bike
including a break for a frozen yoghurt with coconut pieces...the best one!
After dinner, we went to a friend of ours’ place and spent a wonderful evening/night with three special people, playing Munchkin, talking and laughing.
On Thursday we took a day only for us ♥ In the afternoon we went out for a walk and
an ice cream before going shopping for the dinner, that we consumed at my bf’s
place. After
dinner we went out to a little café near home to have a cup of coffee and the
waitress gifted us with some sweets…such a nice gift ;P After a short walk
enjoying the fresh night air, we came back home and watched a piece from a very funny parody movie. Then we went to bed, but the alarm clock rang at
5:30, since our plan was to go out at the dawn to catch some nice pics. So,
after a cup of coffee, while the sun was rising in the sky and painting the sea
with gold and flames and the city was still sleeping, we were at the port,
equipped with my bf’s camera! :)
We heard some fishermen say sometimes you may see dolphins here :) Unfortunately, no dolphin was there yesterday morning...but we'll try again soon! ;) :3
Then, time for some breakfast and a walk to buy some things and then
home, where we collapsed as soon as we touched the bed ;) after an hour long
nap, we woke up and spent some time reading (especially me, since I have half a book left to read for my English Literature exam in September XP). That's all...just all the small things that make every day a brighter day and paint life with so beautiful colors! :)

Yesterday in the afternoon, finally got my new Vans LPE *_* ...my babies! :P They're just so comfortable and nice! Wiiiiiiiiii!!!!!!! :D
A sunny and fresh sunday...nothing better than a full-immersion in the Nature, enjoying the gifts of Mother Gaia, hand in hand with the one you love, in the sheltering shade of the forest, accompanied by the voices of streams, falls and brothers from the deep wilderness :)
We left early in the morning, heading for a place which is two hours by car from here. Midway, time for a cup of coffee and...on the road again! :)
First we went through a really nice enchanted village...
...then watched graceful multicoloured butterflies (here there's an orange one, but there were golden, white, sky blu and even black ones! *-*)playing, chasing each other and fly from flower to flower :)
The trek was 6 kms long and it was quite dangerous, for some pathways were very narrow and overlooked high cliffs...and since I suffer from dizziness, and my head started to spin, we couldn't complete the track! Anyway, though dangerous, it all was very thrilling and enjoyable, and it was very worth the risk! :D
We even got lost in the forest for a while, but as you can see we didn't give up hope at all :) and in a short time we found our path again, even if it costed us an undless uphill D:
My photographer-man catching some beauty :)
The mighty fortress of the Varanos, on our way back home
And after a day like this, what's better than a cosy and cuddly evening at home, while outside the wind sings his songs?
"And then I looked at the stars, and considered how awful it would be for a man to turn his face up to them as he froze to death, and see no help or pity in all the glittering multitude."
(C. Dickens "Great Expectations")
Tonight brings melancholic thoughts. I don't like it, but that's like this, for tonight.
It was exactly one month
ago, when I had the honour to perform live this great song by In Flames, for
the second time.
The road has been long and
hard and full of obstacles and also – I must admit – tears.
But I had the luck
of having great people around me, supporting me, believing in me and doing
whatever possible to get the best results. Mostly two people. My super singing teacher and vocal
coach who, thought surprised for the choice ("No girl would ever sing such a song!") and aware of the difficulties it would have
brought, did whatever possible to adapt the song (which
is mainly a male song, after all!) to me and my voice, in order to get the best
results, and who has always supported me until the end. My super boyfriend, who knows this song by heart, of course,
and helped me with every single nuance, making me work on every single imperfection,
strict like the most demanding of teachers, constantly holding my hand in his and supporting me. I
can never forget, after all the tears, after all the anger, after all the
stubbornness, after all the fear, the moment I got off the stage and he told me:
“You singed it the best way ever.”
It may seem silly but,
believe me, it feels like this when you have to work on a song you...that you just Love. A song that's written and sung by a person who's a source of endless inspiration and admiration to you and whose voice makes you dizzy every time. A song composed by one of those ones who gave you the greatest emotions ever through their creations. A song performed by a band you consider one of the very best ones you've ever listened to. A song that made you shed so many tears when you heard it performed live from the band itself. A song on whose shoulder you have cried so many times. A song that came across your path during a very dark period of your life and ...well, took part in saving you. Or, at least, it feels like this for me :)
So, the emotional side played the title-role in making the road harsh but I'm so satisfied for I won this challenge against myself and managed to channel all the emotionality in...just singing with all my heart :)
Last friday the world stopped for some hours. The lights turned off, buildings and cities vanished. And I found myself in an enchanted green upland, flower coronet on my head, dreaming on the notes of pipes and harps, surrounded by people dressed in kilts and celtic suits.
We settled down and placed the tent while in the camp echoed to the sound of "VALEEEEEERIO!" (an unknown character whose screamed and shouted name would have echoed in the upland all night long). Then, time for some nourishment ;P
Arriving in the late afternoon: the best choice in order not to get fried by the terribly hot summer sun and to enjoy the magic light of the sunset behind the mountains :)
Wandering among the stands
Our night went on with beautiful moments, laughs, funny faces, hydromel, sweets, freezing cold and hot drinks, hand in hand walks, music, wolves and all the other special things little things :)
And the day after, this is what remains...when the magic burned out at the end of the night.
A long day full of things to do and things done, people met, smiles received and smiles given, schedules to meet, running in a hurry, slowing down just for a while and then running again. It feels like being in the center of a whirlwind but god, it feels soooo good :)
A sunny summer afternoon. Floral dress, torn jeans and a book to read on the grass, under the sheltering shadow of a pink-flowered tree. A ride on my dear old bike, amidst sunflowers fields and houses by the sea, under the big blue sky, with good music in the ears. The joyfully fresh and pure voice of a little golden haired child sayin' "Hi!" to you. The kind greetings and smiles of people you meet along your way. The message from a friend. The expectation of seeing you boyfriend, even you have last seen him the night before. Going to the little old-fashioned store of the greengrocer and carrying sweet fruits home by your bike.
All the sweet little everyday things that are so special and make you wanna sing out loud that life is just so Beautiful and oh, you're just so lucky to be alive!
Plus, today I'm in a very enthusiastic mood since I'll be soon starting a new experience of which I may tell later ;) in the early afternoon I had a meeting with the boss of the entity that offered the apprentiship to talk about the things I'll have to do, the studios and the places where I'll work, and - you know - stuff like this :) Everything's so thrilling and, well I'm just sooooo excited!! ☆*:.。. o(≧▽≦)o .。.:*☆Wiiiiiiiiiiii!!!!!!
