Today is one of those days I've always taken in account since childhoon, for 47 years ago was born a great woman who created - startin' from scratch - an entire world. Since I first opened that book, eleven years ago, I entered that world and never came back.
She gave me hours, days, years of breath-taking reading and endless daydreaming.
She made me see that if I always believed I was a magic creature, then I could have a place to call home and where I could meet people who would have understood me.
She gave me everything I needed and couldn't find in the everyday-life-world.
She made me meet wonderful friends and terrible enemies.
She made me deal with them, in good and evil, in joy and sorrow.
She made me grow up with her unforgettable characters, like a godmother who brings you up with her own children.
She taught me what true Friendship and true Love are and how Powerful they can be.
She taught me that there's light even in the darkness, if you remember to turn it on.
In one word, at present I can proudly say she taught me how to deal with life and to use Magic even when I don't have a wand.
In one word, at present I can proudly say she taught me how to deal with life and to use Magic even when I don't have a wand.
Happy Birthday, Johanne Kathleen Rowling!
...But it's not over.
July 31st 1980 was born the little green-eyed boy with black hair and round glasses with whom I grew up at strokes of wand.
July 31st 1991 this boy discovered he was a Wizard. The world's most famous little Wizard. Harry James Potter.
Happy Birthday, Harry !
